Southwest Turkey Burgers

This is another of my sister's stellar additions to my rotation of go-to dinners. It has a TON of flavor and is super easy to mix up. It's a lighter version than your standard burger, and I like to add toppings that give it a southwestern flair, but you can easily switch those up. It's a great year-round dish because it doesn't require grilling.

Ingredients: 1 LB ground turkey 2 TBS dijion mustard 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce Lemon pepper Lawry's Seasoned Salt Pepper jack cheese Sliced Red onion Sliced Avocado Dijion Mustard 100% Whole wheat buns

Directions:

  1. Knead together the first 3 ingredients in a large bowl & shape burgers into patties, placing on a plate as you make them, then sprinkle a bit of Lemon-pepper and Lawry's on each side of the burgers

  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat so that burgers sizzle when you put them in

  3. Cook burgers 3-4 mins on each side, or until cooked through

  4. When the burgers are about finished, top with pepper jack cheese & toast buns in a toaster or toaster oven

  5. Top with desired toppings & serve with Sweet Potato Fries
